Multiple OS
Discover how you can transform your hosting server from the very beginning with a selection of Multiple Operating Systems.
An Operating System is the low-level software which controls a PC. It handles the way your hardware behaves, the communication with peripheral devices such as a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between various applications, along with the prioritization of apps when multiple ones run at the same time. Each program that is installed on a PC functions by sending requests to the OS for various services by using an application program interface (API). The communication with the OS can be performed through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the hosting field, the Operating System is what commands a server as well as any software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but, in addition any other application for example a VOIP or a game server. When there are virtual machines created, they use a guest OS that runs on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We provide three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs you can find and we provide all 3 rather than only 1 since we realize that you may want to set up some software with specific requirements for the Operating System it will run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there're different software applications you may install on the web server. Your OS selection will also determine exactly what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS in case you want to use one and for that reason we offer multiple Control Panels as well. In case you decide that you need to have some other OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the existing one and set up the one that you'd like. In addition, we offer an optional service to keep the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The
dedicated server plans that we offer come with three different Operating Systems to pick from. They are all Linux release - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license taxes, but they’re also considered to be among the most dependable and secure OSs. We supply three different ones as each of them is backed by a different community. The packages that you could add on your server are different and this could matter in case you want to install some piece of software with particular requirements regarding the hosting environment. In this light, the hosting Control Panel that you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the Operating System that you will select. You can select any of the three Operating Systems during the order process, however if needed, we can always set up the server once again with another one upon your request. As an additional service that you may add to the package at any time, we can update your OS on a regular basis in order to keep it as secure as possible.
